Adult Waiver Class

This adult waiver program (Adults out of H.S) also follows the procedures outlined by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. The adult waiver also calls for seven 50-minute periods. A driving test is administered by the instructor on the last day of instruction. Instead of being granted a temporary license upon successful completion of the course, the student is issued a certificate of waiver, which waives the 60 day waiting period and the required road test at the local DMV office. Currently these can be mailed/faxed to the DMV to obtain your license.

Must haves:

  • Completed a Virginia state-approved driver education program.*

  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to operate a vehicle on public roadways safely.

Cost: $450

Intro to Driving Class

Teaching someone to drive can be an intimidating event. Going on an empty parking lot is one thing: driving down the street is another.  Traffic, Signs, Pedestrians, etc., all put a stress level on both the student and the parent.  Let Drive Safe 757 reduce that stress.  We offer an introductory class.  Allow us to move the student from the parking lot to the roadway.

This brief (60 minute) session introduces safe stops and turns, centering the vehicle using the mirror.  We do not promise the student will be proficient upon completion, but they will be more comfortable driving.

Cost: $75

*Discounts available for any lesson or class if taken with us after this Introduction session.

Individual Lessons

Drive Safe 757 offers several options for individualized lessons. Each session will be individually tailored to fit the skill level and need of the student.

  • One 90-minute session - $165

  • Three  90-minute sessions - $400

  • Five 90-minute sessions - $

* We highly recommend that when scheduling individualized lessons, they be taken 7 days apart.  This provides the student with ample time to practice the acquired skills between classes.

*Students that purchase multiple sessions must complete them within 30 days unless prior arrangements have been agreed to.

* The State approved driver education program is generally offered in 10th grade PE.  DriveSafe757 does not offer this course, but we have partnered with BJ Gator Driving School, and the program is available through them.  Let them know that  Drives Safe 757 referred you to them.  bjgatorsdrivingschool.com

* All prices subject to change.

*For information about the laws governing driver training schools, refer to the Virginia Driver Training School Regulations.

*Taking any of the above classes or classes does not guarantee, nor promise, that a student will successfully obtain a Driving Permit at the end of the course.  The instructor will do everything possible to prepare the student, but the pass/fail responsibility is their responsibility.
